National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS)
The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) provides students in grades 4–6 a place to develop and apply their passion for service, while obtaining the skills to be confident young leaders for years to come.NEHS membership is centered on recognizing students for their accomplishments while challenging and equipping them to develop further as leaders through service to their school and community. Reflecting school leaders’ profound commitment to student leadership development, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) founded NEHS in 2008 in partnership with the National Association of Elementary School Principals.In addition to NEHS, NASSP founded and manages the National Honor Society (est. in 1921), National Junior Honor Society (est. in 1928), and National Student Council (est. in 1931).
